Mandatory CE's for Dental Practice Act and Infection Control RENEWAL COMBO

We are an approved mandatory course providers by the  California Dental Board for the 2-CE Infection Control and 2-CE California Dental Practice Act (RP-5888). These courses are for all dental professionals needing to renew their license. The materials are in a self-study format. Once all competencies have been submitted and met, the certificate of completion for each will be emailed to you.

The course description includes; The California Dental Practice Act (DPA) is a body of laws governing all dental professionals. The Act is intended to serve as a legal guideline for both the public and the dental professionals regarding all aspects of dentistry. All licensed dental personnel are required to receive instruction in DPA before each renewal period. The course includes information on the Dental Board, governing bodies, the scope of dental practice for auxiliaries, license renewal, ethics related to dental practice and the law, mandatory reporting for abuse, and laws governing prescription medication, the California Laws and Regulations for the Dental Board Statutes and regulations; Dental Practice Act Business & Professional Code beginning at Section 1600 and existing regulations: The Dental Board’s regulations are under Title 16.

In this mandatory 2-hour infection control course, you will learn the minimum standards for infection control as stated in Title 16 Section 1005 of the California Code of Regulations. Minimum Standards include adequate asepsis, infection and hazard control, and disposal of hazardous wastes. These standards comply with the Dental Board of California regulations and other Federal, State, and local requirements.
