8-Hour Infection Control Courses

Dental Board-Approved 8-Hour Infection Control Course (IC-154) offered by California Dental Educators
We are proud to offer a Dental Board of California-approved 8-hour Infection Control course (IC-154)—a vital class every unlicensed dental assistant needs before working in the office, under the new regulations effective January 1, 2025.
Course Structure
-
4 hours of didactic instruction (home study)
-
4 hours of lab, preclinical, and clinical training at our Rocklin, CA location
Why This Course Matters
With updated Dental Board regulations, this course is
mandatory for all unlicensed dental assistants to
complete a Board–approved 8–hour course in infection
control (IC) prior to performing any basic supportive
dental procedures involving potential exposure to blood,
saliva, or other potentially infectious materials.
This course is more than a requirement—it prepares you
with the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills to
confidently support your dental team. You're not just in
the back office—you’re a critical part of the patient care team.
