We are a Dental Board of California Approved 8-Hour Infection Control Course (IC-154)
We are proud to offer a Dental Board–approved 8-Hour Infection Control course (IC-154)—a requirement for all unlicensed dental assistants before working in a dental office under the new Dental Board regulations effective January 1, 2025.
Course Structure
4 Hours Didactic (Home Study)

Self-paced learning with emailed course materials

Covers infection control principles, regulations, and safety protocols
4 Hours In-Person Lab, Preclinical & Clinical

Hands-on training at our Rocklin, CA location

Practical application of infection control procedures
Why This Course Matters
This course is mandatory for all dental assistants prior to performing
basic supportive dental procedures that involve potential exposure to:

Blood
-
Saliva
-
Other potentially infectious materials
In short, this applies to all back-office dental employees.
This course is more than a requirement. It builds the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills needed to confidently support a dental team. You are not “just” in the back office, you are a vital part of patient care and safety.

PPE Requirements
Students must wear full PPE during lab and clinical sessions. Required items:

8 Level 2 (or higher) disposable masks
-
1 box of properly fitted medical-grade exam gloves
-
Disposable isolation gowns or cuffed lab jackets
-
Safety goggles or glasses with side shields
-
Optional: Face shield
PPE Kits Available
If you do not have PPE, a pre-packed PPE kit can be ordered and waiting for you when you arrive at the class. Order your PPE Kit in the toolbar so you are fully prepared for your preclinical session.
Certificate & Compliance
Upon successful completion, students receive an 8-Hour Infection Control Certificate, which is required before working in any dental back-office role.
This certificate must be maintained and displayed at the dental facility to meet compliance standards.
