About the Course
This course meets all requirements of the Dental Board of California to achieve the 8-Hour Infection Control Certification. It is mandatory for all dental personnel who work in any dental practice's back office, performing sterilization, setting up rooms, and assisting. The 8-hour infection control course is a prerequisite for taking the radiation course.

(a) A dental assistant is an individual who, without a license, may perform basic supportive dental procedures, as authorized by Section 1750.1 and by regulations adopted by the board, under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
