About the Course

Great News! DA'S NO LONGER NEED WORK EXPERIENCE TO ENROLL IN ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT COURSE

We are a California Dental Board-approved course for the Orthodontic Assistant (OA144).

DAs no longer need 6 months of work experience as dental assistants to enroll in an orthodontic assistant course, and they do not need 12 months of work experience to apply for a permit. Get your Orthodontic Assistant Certificate now!

The Orthodontic Assistant (OA) course includes 24 hours of didactic (Lecture) home study, 28 hours of lab and pre-clinical instruction at our Rocklin location and 32 hours of clinical experience at your Orthodontic office.

The didactic course content is sent at least two weeks before the preclinical course date starts. The course content is a valuable resource to help you prepare for the course and the State Board OAP Exam. This will give you the maximum time to study and complete all course content within 24 hours while balancing a work-life schedule.

The lab/preclinical schedule is two weekends Saturday, June 6th 9 am-6 pm, Sunday, June 7th 9 am-6 pm, and Saturday, June 13th 9 am-6 pm, and Sunday, June 14th 9 am-1 pm.

Once all skills and paperwork are returned and finalized, you will receive your certificate from California Dental Educators. With this, you can apply for your State Board OAP Exam.
